TEANECK — The manager of a pizzeria where Richard Shoop worked remembered the 20-year-old as a “nice guy” who concentrated on his job delivering pizza, cashing out orders and other tasks in the few years he worked at Victor’s Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant on Cedar Lane.

But authorities said Shoop was also a low-level drug dealer, known to law enforcement in several Bergen County communities.

On Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, Shoop walked into the Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus with his brother’s firearm and opened fire. He fired at least six shots in front of terrified mall customers before ending his own life.
